Affiliate marketing is the best way to use a job to make money. It's simple, all you do is post affiliate links on your blog. You should start off with something simple like Google Adsense and Amazon Associates. Just sign up for an account with both of them, then follow the directions to connect them with your blog.
Doing product reviews is another great way to make money. Let's say your blog is about books. Random house sends out over 1,000 copies of each new book to bloggers. Not only do the bloggers get to keep the books, but they get paid $100 per book reviewed!
Another great way is by writing paid posts. Companies like Payperpost.com, pay you to write blog posts about a certain company, product, or topic. The average is $5 per blog post or .04 cents per word.

Have you had luck with Payperpost? I signed up but have not received any work yet.
That's the very reason why I mentioned them briefly. In a years time, I've received 6 offers but was only hired once. My guess is that they are looking for the really professional bloggers that have way over 1,500 posts.
