ChaCha is a mobile question answering service and search engine. They use real humans called guides, and also have automated responses. They used to pay in cash but that has recently changed to a points system. Before you could get your cash at anytime. The money went instantly onto a debit card. Once I cashed out 3 times in one day. Over the past year, the pay rate has dropped from $6 an hour to $2.50 an hour. This is the result of pay decreases, more automated answers, and increases in the amount of guides working. Instead of making cash, new guides now get paid via a point system. The points are put into a "guide share pool." It is then converted into cash at the end of the month. The problem with is that no one knows what those points are going to be worth! It all depends on how many guides are working and what ChaCha's income was for that month. So say your are an expeditor and normally make .02 per question. If you become a points guide, you will make 2 points per question. If you do 10,000 questions in one month (very easy to do), that would normally be $200 a month. Under the point system it could be $100 per month or maybe even $500 per month. The points system has both its advantages and disadvantages.
ChaCha themselves state that ChaCha is not meant to be used for a sole income. It's only meant to be used to make extra money. Most guides average between $300 to $500 a month. There is no schedule, you can work whenever you want. They are legit and do pay out timely. They are a great company to work for. However, there are a lot of other jobs out there that pay tons more! Your time is worth more than $2.50 an hour. I only work on ChaCha when I need quick money for a bill or I have else do to at that moment.
Amount earned: $20 weekly
